Sandra K. Ring, M.S., CCLS, CNP, BCPA
Sandi Ring brings a range of experience, connections, and authenticity to efforts that positively impact the lives of those living with disease. Sandi connects with patients of all ages, medical professionals, and key stakeholders to understand the lived experience of disease and can transition strategic vision into positive action. Sandi’s career has been defined by an unwavering commitment to hearing, validating, and amplifying the voices of individuals, families, and communities affected by serious health conditions.
Sandi joins the Rural Access to Dermatology Society (RADS) as Associate Director of Community and Patient Engagement and brings over three decades of experience across rare disease medical,psychosocial, access to care, research, and advocacy landscapes. Sandi is known for her genuine approach to building trust, championing collaboration, and driving sustainable change through empathy, connection, education, and engagement.
Prior to her role with RADS, Sandi worked with the American Academy of Dermatology to strengthen collaboration and advocacy across state dermatology societies. She remains deeply involved with the Sibling Partnership for Advocacy, Research, and Care (SPARC), advancing research and integrating support services that address the unique needs of siblings of children with serious health challenges.
As National Director of Outreach and Education for SuperSibs, she led the creation of several award-winning programs that directly supported siblings and families, as well as ensuring health provider education and access to resources that help integrate sibling support efforts into systems of care. Her earlier work with the American Academy of Pediatrics advanced the coordination of Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) programs for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, she drove quality and consistency that ensured equitable access to wishes for children nationwide. She continues to volunteer as a wish-granter.
Recently acknowledged as a Board-Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), Sandi has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership, is recognized as a Professional Patient Advocate in Life Sciences. She maintains professional certifications as both a Child Life Specialist (CCLS) and a Nonprofit Professional (CNP). Deeply committed to empowering others and building bridges across the healthcare ecosystem, Sandi Ring remains a trusted voice and tireless force for compassionate care, community connection, and meaningful change.
