Vinny Seiverling, M.D.

Dr. Elizabeth “Vinny” Seiverling is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and member of the Dermatology teaching faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine. She attended Penn State College of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine internship at Massachusetts General Hospital followed by Dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco. Prior to joining Tufts, she was the Dermatology Division Director for Maine Medical Center and the medical director for Maine Medical Partner’s Skin Oncology clinic. She has a special interest in noninvasive tools for the detection of skin cancer such as dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy and total body photography. She has developed multiple dermoscopy curricula and was on the American Academy of Dermatology Basic Dermatology Curriculum Work Group which aimed to add dermoscopy to standard medical student education. She is a member of the International Dermoscopy Society Educational Work Group. She has also created innovative care delivery models utilizing telementoring (project ECHO) and teledermoscopy (eConsult) to improve access to care in rural settings. In 2025, in addition to her role at Tufts, Dr. Seiverling became the director of teledermatology for the Rural Access to Dermatology Society, a national non-profit organization. She firmly believes all patients deserve high-quality dermatologic care regardless of their geographic location. Outside of work, Dr. Seiverling and her husband (a primary care physician) enjoy tennis, biking and chasing around their two children on their small farm.
